I would like to bring to your attention a new job and Ph.D opportunity within the University of Incheon and EuroAquae II Consortium institutions with hydroinformatics field. PhD Studentship in the hydroinformatics with detailed topics described in the attached job posting paper.
Ph.D course position is available to undertake an interdisciplinary project which embraces the areas of hydraulics, hydrology, environmental science, acoustics and any other background related to hydroinformatics. The joint PhD programme contributes to bring the research activities of the ICUH and associated partners at the best international level and to create a leadership due to the capacity of innovation, notably resulting from a critical mass effect.
Candidates have to submit a candidature to ICUH according to the defined schedule, published on the ICUH website (http://www.icuh.re.kr). A preliminary list of research projects is published by ICUH. All candidates are requested a Master of Sciences degree from university (M.Sc) or recognized equivalent degree within field of Engineering (any branch), Environmental Sciences, Earth Sciences, Physics, Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Chemistry, Geology or a similar subject. In addition, as well as, applicants for whom English is not a first language must provide evidence of a satisfactory command of English, preferably by means of a TOEFL score of 575 or greater, or by an IELTS score of 6.5 or greater. Any equivalent certification is accepted.
Selected candidates will appointed as researcher of the ICUH with a 3 years contract. The scholarship will be paid as a salary of 36,000,000 KRW / per year ( eq approx. 20,500 € / 29,000 US$).
Selection will be by assessment of documents submitted and by interview. The main criteria will be the academic capability of the applicant and their potential for research.
